Time-Out vs. Calm Spot

This workshop is tailored to educators and service providers.

In this workshop you will learn a multitude of tools and techniques to help effectively manage behavior in the classroom. Challenging behavior that may lead you to this workshop might look like: tantrums, always seeking “messy” play, defiance, non-compliance, confrontational, shut-down, out of control physical behavior, etc.

We will begin by focusing on the infamous use of “time out” and how we can make this technique more effective for our current generation of children; sitting still is not exactly in their repertoire, is it?!

We will also review the basics of behavior as a form of communication and will cover specific challenges that parents and teachers face currently.
