ZONES of Regulation

 Applicable to all ages and learning styles, including deaf students.

The Zones of Regulation is a systematic, cognitive behavioral approach used to teach children to self-regulate. This social-emotional and behavioral curriculum, created by Leah Kuypers, is a great supplement to your classroom or counseling curricula.

As many of us know, Deaf children face unique challenges in the areas of self-regulation due to language deprivation causing difficulties in communication. I have adapted this structured curriculum to meet the unique needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children along with accessible graphics made by a Deaf artist, Maureen Klusza.
